Power Yoga puts a bigger emphasis on building functional and dynamic strength in your body, rather than flexibility. It takes what you learn from other, more traditional styles or Yoga (such as Vinyasa and Hatha) but ups the difficulty with more reps, longer holds, tougher movements and maybe even some high intensity movement sprinkled in. It's not traditional, but it's a mindful and creative way to create real strength and stability throughout your entire body.
In this class we'll hit the core to start and then move our way through a few sequences that'll challenge our leg strength, shoulder strength, endurance and breath control. Remember to be light with yourself, enjoy the challenge and take a break whenever you need to.
